Why does this happen to you as an Arabic speaker?
الأرقام العربية (١, ٢, ٣...) والأرقام الإنجليزية (1, 2, 3...) هي نفس الرموز تقريبًا — لأنها أصلًا عربية! لكن ترتيب الأرقام المركّبة مختلف: في العربية تقول 'خمسة وعشرون' (الواحد ثمّ العشرة)، في الإنجليزية تقول 'twenty-five' (العشرة ثمّ الواحد). هذا الترتيب المعكوس يربك عقلك العربي في البداية.
Arabic numerals (١, ٢, ٣...) and English numerals (1, 2, 3...) are almost the same symbols — because they're originally Arabic! But compound number order is different: in Arabic you say 'خمسة وعشرون' (one then ten), in English you say 'twenty-five' (ten then one). This reversed order confuses your Arabic brain at first.

ترتيب الأرقام المركّبة معكوس بين اللغتين. في العربية تقول الرقم الصغير أولًا. في الإنجليزية تقول العشرات أولًا. مع التكرار ستتعوّد على الترتيب الجديد.
Compound number order is reversed between the two languages. In Arabic you say the small number first. In English you say the tens first. With repetition you will get used to the new order.

نصيحة: عُدّ على أصابعك
Tip: Count on your fingers
ارفع أصابعك وعُدّ من واحد إلى عشرة بصوت عالٍ. المس كل إصبع أثناء نطق الرقم. هذا يساعد عقلك على ربط الكلمة بالرقم.
Hold up your fingers and count from one to ten out loud. Touch each finger as you say the number. This helps your brain connect the word to the number.
في العربية، الأعداد أحيانًا تأتي بعد الاسم. في الإنجليزية، العدد يأتي دائمًا قبل الاسم: 'three books' وليس 'books three'. عقلك سيحاول عكس الترتيب — هذا طبيعي.
In Arabic, numbers sometimes come after the noun. In English, the number always comes first: 'three books' not 'books three'. Your brain will try to reverse the order — that's normal.

Pattern: the teens
انظر إلى النمط: thir-teen, four-teen, fif-teen, six-teen, seven-teen, eigh-teen, nine-teen. تستخدم نفس الرقم الأساسي + "teen". الاستثناءان هما eleven وtwelve — عليك حفظهما فقط.
Look at the pattern: thir-teen, four-teen, fif-teen, six-teen, seven-teen, eigh-teen, nine-teen. They use the same base number + "teen". The only odd ones are eleven and twelve — you just have to memorise those two.

أرقام الـ teen تنتهي بـ -teen (thirteen). العشرات تنتهي بـ -ty (thirty). انتبه ألا تخلط بينهما: thirteen (١٣) مقابل thirty (٣٠).
The teens end in -teen (thirteen). The tens end in -ty (thirty). Be careful not to mix them up: thirteen (13) vs thirty (30).

نصيحة: Forty بدون U
Tip: Forty has no U
خطأ إملائي شائع جدًا: "four" فيها U، لكن "forty" ليس فيها. الصحيح forty، وليس "fourty".
A very common spelling mistake: "four" has a U, but "forty" does not. It is forty, not "fourty".

أرقام الهواتف: انطق كل رقم على حدة
Phone numbers: say each digit
لأرقام الهواتف، انطق كل رقم على حدة: 077 = "oh seven seven"، وليس "seventy-seven". استخدم "oh" للصفر، و"double" للأرقام المكررة: 55 = "double five".
For phone numbers, say each number one at a time: 077 = "oh seven seven", not "seventy-seven". Use "oh" for zero, and "double" for repeated digits: 55 = "double five".
الأرقام العربية (٠١٢٣) والأرقام الإنجليزية (0123) تبدو مختلفة لكنها نفس النظام. عيناك تحتاج وقتًا للتعوّد على الشكل الجديد.
