Simple Present Tense

المضارع البسيط

The simple present describes habits, facts, and routines. It is one of the most-used tenses in English, especially in professional and daily-life communication.

يصف المضارع البسيط العادات والحقائق والروتين. وهو من أكثر الأزمنة استخداماً في الإنجليزية، خاصة في التواصل المهني واليومي.

القاعدة النحوية

The base form of the verb is used with I, you, we, and they. Add '-s' or '-es' to the verb for he, she, and it. Use this tense for things that happen regularly (every day, always, usually), for facts that are always true, and for schedules (The train leaves at 8). Do not use it for something happening right now - that needs the present continuous.

استخدم الفعل في صورته الأساسية مع I وyou وwe وthey. وأضف '-s' أو '-es' مع he وshe وit. ويستخدم هذا الزمن للأشياء التي تحدث بانتظام، مثل every day وalways وusually، وللحقائق الثابتة، وللجداول الزمنية. ولا تستخدمه لشيء يحدث الآن، لأن ذلك يحتاج إلى المضارع المستمر.

Common Mistakes

الأخطاء الشائعة

She work late every Friday.→She works late every Friday.

Add '-s' to the verb when the subject is he, she, or it.

أضف '-s' إلى الفعل عندما يكون الفاعل he أو she أو it.

He is work in IT.→He works in IT.

Do not combine 'is' with the base form of a main verb.

لا تستخدم 'is' مع الصورة الأساسية للفعل الرئيسي.

I am go to the gym on Mondays.→I go to the gym on Mondays.

Habits use the simple present - not 'am/is/are + verb'.

تستخدم العادات المضارع البسيط - وليس 'am/is/are + فعل'.

I start work at eight and finish at five.

My team meets every Tuesday morning.

Our manager reviews the reports on Thursdays.
